Oh Matsuda. [Death Note]
It seems after a year, I still have yet to get over him.

It's pretty bad, I know.

edit: it also seems that after a year he hasn't quite gotten over me either. That isn't that bad.

It's harder than you think, seeing your best friend about twice a year at most.

I think I'll call her soon.

sometimes, when you're writing a story and you want to get to a part you really want to write, it's difficult to write thing stuff that happens before that part.

I have found the God of lyrics! And they take the shape of a band called Radical Face. I know that I want to have Linkin Park play at my funeral (long story) but seriously "Welcome Home, Son" by Radical Face is now my funeral song. It's so optimistic yet it fits the occasion.

Sleep don't visit, so I choke on sun
And the days blur into one
And the backs of my eyes hum with things I've never done

Sheets are swaying from an old clothesline
Like a row of captured ghosts over old dead grass
Was never much but we made the most
Welcome home

Ships are launching from my chest
Some have names but most do not
If you find one, please let me know what piece I've lost

Heal the scars from off my back
I don't need them anymore
You can throw them out or keep them in your mason jars
I've come home

All my nightmares escaped my head
Bar the door, please don't let them in
You were never supposed to leave
Now my head's splitting at the seams
And I don't know if I can

Here, beneath my lungs, I feel your thumbs press into my skin again.

I hid under your porch because I love you.

hello I'm a car
Today was a good day.
I received my senior shirt with 'Envy' printed on the back like I asked for, and it fits so that's a plus. Also apparently I am now officially a senior?
After school I met up with Sam, Kathleen, and Sean and went to see Up. It was extremely adorable and we all loved it. Dug was my favorite character :B
Before the movie we went to the mall for a few minutes. I bought Scott Pilgrim vol.3. It was awesome.
When I got home I listened to a CD that I had received for Christmas a few years ago and hadn't liked very much. I was pleasantly surprised when I found that I enjoyed the CD a WHOLE BUNCH this time. It was 'Foiled' by Blue October.

So anyway, good day.
5 days til school is out.
Clothes shopping/video game playing tomorrow. I'm excited for a day of relaxing! Then its time to study for finals and then its all over~

What.
DEAR TEEN FICTION AUTHORS EVERYWHERE:

Stop writing terrible novels about vampires. They are taking up the first 30 pages of bestsellers on all widely known book store sites.

I hate this. D:

My top 15 plays on iTunes.
How did Womanizer get to number 1?! D:
Anyway. This should show how diverse my music taste is, if just a little bit.

Oh Matsuda. [Death Note]
every time I jump into the "I might like Dream Theater afterall" phases that occur every so often, I listen to one or two of their songs and come right back out of there thinking "whoops forgot that band was way too bizarre to handle"

i mean seriously I like tons of bands, but I mean, if I went to a Dream Theater concert, I'd come out hours later assuming I'd just returned from an alternate universe or something.

What.
How come when I eat spaghetti and pizza I feel like I'm eating extremely American foods rather than Italian foods?

I want to go to Italy and eat some actual Italian food. *drools*

The graphic designer in me is craving to make some artz.
Sadly, the graphic designer in me knows little about how to use photoshop.
And yet I am still going into an advanced graphic design class next year because I apparently have an extremely natural talent at finding what looks good. Also I can use freehand but I mean.

ANYWAYS I had this revelation today, that since I'm gonna major in graphic design in college, I could become a designer for CD covers, and then it totally dawned on me that I could eventually make covers for my favorite bands.

Ohmygod how cool would it be if I could make a CD cover for Linkin Park? I would probably die from the effort to make it perfect. Ugh this sounds too cool to even imagine.

I WANT NEXT YEAR TO COME. I'm learning to use photoshop then. I'd buy it and learn by myself if I had money, but I don't. I suppose I'll have to buy it next year for class though. Hm.

Today was a good day, despite me having to take the national exam for AP US. Lots of new music!

Music found today: (note: I've heard of a lot of these bands before, but never listening to them until today)

A Day To Remember (listening to atm. I'm digging their guitarist)
Attack Attack!
School Boy Humor
Bayside
Tech N9ne
Mayday Parade
Silverstein

(If you can tell what I've been listening to due to the band names, you are officially cool)

I'm in a pop mood. Pop/Screamo plz? :] I'm so tired of all the music on my mp3 player. I should just dump it all and start over. I really need more than just a 2g...

I attempted to donate blood today.
For SOME REASON, when I got my finger pricked, I got light headed. I know it wasn't from seeing blood, because I'm fine with blood. It may have been the smell around the place, or my nerves, but ANYWAY I had to be taken away on one of those wheely beds, then put in a "pass out" area where I had to lay with my legs elevated for GOD KNOWS HOW LONG looking at the gym ceiling. I felt fine about 2 minutes after it happened, but they wouldn't let me donate.

So I got to walk around all day with my fancy finger bandage, but no actual blood taken out of me besides the two drops I spared to check my iron levels. Guh. People are not going to let me live this down. I was THAT person. The one that got queasy from nothing. SIGH.

Oh and to top it all off, when the person came into my class to call me down the the gym, he called out my name as "Charlie Brown" and I swear to god I couldn't decide whether to punch him or cry. I HATE when people call me that. SERIOUSLY, THE WORST PEEVE. (in case you don't know, my name is Chaylee Brown, and a lot of CLEVER CLEVER PEOPLE like to replace the 'y' with an 'r' and just laugh it up.)

Arms and legs, in between.

Oh hey, they added a retro rock channel on Comcast's Music Choice channels. *listens for hours*

I hate when I listen to The Presets on my mp3 player in the morning because every other song on it seems inferior to theirs, so I end up putting their songs on repeat and I feel sorry for the other songs. I can't tell you how many times I listened to "My People" and "This Boy's In Love" today. Jeez.

I'm here with all of my people.
Locked up with all of my people.
So let me hear you scream if you're with me.

Seriously, if you were walking while you were listening to this, you wouldn't be able to help but walk to the beat, could you? COULD YOU? I KNOW, ME EITHER!

okay so who's....the good guy? D:

What.
Watching 24 atm.

How many people are double agents?! I MEAN SERIOUSLY. HOW MANY.

The way this is going, in the end the people in charge of all this will probably be like, aliens from a superior planet. DX

Oh Matsuda. [Death Note]
This weekend I (in order):

-got my RENT live tickets
-learned my friend is moving to California
-cried a lot due to ^
-moped around, had a terrible Saturday, slept
-got woken up by my dad today, saying he wanted to go see a movie
-we went and saw Earth. SO. EPIC.
-lots and lots of homework. my photography assignment was so hard, and it is still unfinished.
-watched the new FMA Brotherhood episode.
-read a few chapters of W.A.R.

This weekend was more bad than it was good, but I did enjoy the good parts very much.

Now on to the two weeks of hell before my first ever national exam. D:
